COSMETICS & PERSONAL CARE
Wynca Silicones
Zhejiang, China · Group founded 1965 · Organosilicon as a core business since 1997
A complete silicone chain, from silicon metal to sensory finish.
Most silicone suppliers buy their siloxane intermediates. Wynca makes them. The group runs one of the most vertically integrated organosilicon chains in the industry, from silicon metal smelting and ganister sand processing through monomer synthesis to the finished fluids, emulsions, elastomers, resins, and silanes.
For a personal care formulator that integration translates into two things that matter more than a datasheet: supply security when the silicone market tightens, and cost structure that does not carry three intermediate margins.
- Cosmetics & Personal Care
Over 400 mineral salts and more than 7,000 specifications. The specification count is the more meaningful number: it is the measure of how far a grade can be tailored.
ABOUT THIS PRINCIPAL
Scale first, then speciality.
Wynca built its silicone position from the bottom of the value chain upward. The group's organosilicon business, established as a core activity in 1997, covers the full sequence from smelting through monomer synthesis to four downstream product series: silicone rubber, silicone oil, silicone resin, and silane coupling agents. Silicones account for roughly a third of group revenue, alongside a substantial agrochemical business.
The personal care range sits on top of that chain. It is built around well-characterised INCI chemistries rather than proprietary trade names: dimethicone fluids across the viscosity ladder, volatile carriers, functionalised silicones for hair, elastomer gels for sensory modification, emulsions, and film-forming resins. For a formulator working to a defined INCI, that is often the more useful way to buy.
When the specification is an INCI and a viscosity rather than a trade name, integration and consistency become the whole purchasing decision.
ADCHEM distributes the Wynca silicone range for personal care with formulation and substitution support from our own laboratories, including matching an incumbent silicone to an equivalent Wynca grade on sensory and rheological performance, not just on nominal viscosity.
FEATURED TECHNOLOGY
What the integrated chain actually delivers.
The technical case for Wynca is structural rather than novelty-driven. Four consequences follow from the integration.
UPSTREAM
Monomer self-sufficiency
Silicone supply disruptions almost always originate at the monomer stage. Producing methylchlorosilane monomer in-house removes the single biggest interruption risk in a silicone supply chain.
CONSISTENCY
Single-chain quality control
When the same organisation controls smelting, monomer synthesis, polymerisation, and finishing, batch-to-batch variation in viscosity, volatiles, and cyclics is controlled at each step rather than inherited from a third party.
BREADTH
Four product series
Rubber, fluids, resins, and silanes from one producer. A personal care customer benefits from the fluids and resins; the same infrastructure supports the elastomer and emulsion technology used in sensory modification.
DOWNSTREAM
Emulsion and elastomer processing
Macro and micro emulsions, elastomer gels and powders, and gum blends are produced from the group's own base polymers, which keeps the sensory profile of a given grade stable over time.

WORKING WITH ADCHEM
What ADCHEM adds to the Vanderbilt Minerals relationship.
LIKE-FOR-LIKE VALIDATION
Substitution done on performance, not viscosity
Matching an incumbent silicone means matching spreading, volatility, and finish, not just the number on the datasheet. Our laboratories run the comparison before you commit to a changeover.
FORMULATION ECONOMICS
Cost engineering without sensory loss
Silicone is often the largest single cost line in a premium formula. We identify where a grade change genuinely saves money and where it will be noticed by the consumer.
DUAL-SOURCING SUPPORT
Supply continuity planning
Silicone markets tighten periodically. Backing a formula with an integrated producer, and qualifying the grade in advance, is the practical hedge.
