Liquid-filled capsules offer a more flexible, stable, and customizable alternative to traditional softgels. They provide higher temperature resistance and support a wider range of innovative formats, including cap-in-cap, beadlet-in-liquid, and tablet-in-liquid capsules. Plant-based options can be formulated without added excipients or plasticizers, while customizable colour, size, and printing allow brands to create differentiated products. With an MOQ starting at 200,000 capsules, they also offer an attractive cost advantage for commercial production. Their significantly thinner shell, approximately one-tenth the thickness of a softgel, can support efficient drug release and bioavailability, while specialized acid-resistant, fast-release, and targeted-release technologies enable tailored solutions for demanding pharmaceutical applications.
